Since it’s founding in 2007, the department has been ranked among the top research institutions in the field, and has been awarded numerous grants and recognitions from organizations like the NiH and the Bugher Foundation. Their world-class faculty studies all facets of stroke, from early detection and genetic predisposition, to cutting edge treatment of acute stroke, and even rehabilitation of chronic and severe stroke.
